WOW, what a great weekend - that’s it for another year - see you in July 2014!
Most of the information on this website relates to the 2013 festival - information on 2014 will appear as soon as it's available.
The 2013 Dorset Seafood Festival took place on 13th and 14th July 2013 in blazing sunshine and generated the biggest crowds seen in its 6-year history. A crowd estimated in excess of 50,000 people basked in sunshine and enjoyed Pommery Champagne, seafood and associated goods from the 92 stands situated around Weymouth’s stunning harbourside.
Our thanks go to our headline sponsor Pommery Champagne and the other Leading and Category sponsors listed on our sponsors’ page. Without them this fantastic weekend would not have been possible. We must also thank the stand holders, the organising team and the Weymouth Community Volunteers, the latter of whom contribute such a lot of important manpower throughout the weekend.
One of the country’s largest food festivals (recently placed fourth in the UK’s top ten food festivals by the Independent newspaper) the Dorset Seafood Festival committee is looking forward to next year which takes place over the weekend of 12th & 13th July.
Follow us on Twitter and Facebook but above all come along to the food festival in July 2014 and enjoy the fun! Weymouth Harbour is the perfect backdrop to the annual Dorset Seafood Festival, which raises money for The Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen. However, don’t wait until July 2014, Weymouth is a great place to visit and has great seafood on offer all year round.
